Ubisoft's movie division, Ubisoft Motion Pictures, is working on 3D features based on Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon, according to Variety.
The formation of the Paris-based film and television company was announced earlier this month, and is headed up by former CEO of the Luc Besson-owned film studio EuropaCorp Jean-Julien Baronnet.
"Our strategy is not to diversify but to bolster the appeal of our franchises," said senior VP of international marketing and distribution Jean de Rivieres. "That's why we want to make sure our films will reflect the brands accurately and consolidate our fan base while expanding beyond the games' primary target audience."
In addition to the three lined-up films, the film studio is also working on a "gag-laden" CGI 3D cartoon series based on Raving Rabbids. The series will comprise of 78 episodes, each seven minutes in length.
According to Variety, Ubisoft is already in "advanced negotiations" with a French TV broadcaster and in talks with a US network.
