THQ’s mixed martial arts title UFC 2009: Undisputed has shipped two million units.
The title’s strong momentum was confirmed to Lazard Capital Markets analyst Colin Sebastian at a recent THQ investor meeting.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 game, which debuted on May 19 in the States and three days later in the UK, has garnered positive critical feedback with an 80 plus Metascore on both platforms. It has also topped the UK chart for the past two weeks. You can read Edge’s review here.
Earlier this week Electronic Arts also confirmed its move into the martial arts genre with the announcement of a new franchise, EA Sports MMA, which is set to debut on PS3 and Xbox 360 next year.
