PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain debuted atop the UK all formats chart during the week ended February 27.
The title became publisher Sony’s first UK chart topper since Killzone 2 released this time last year, and knocked the previous week’s bestseller, Aliens Vs Predator, down a spot to number two.
Just Dance also fell one place to third, ahead of Wii Fit Plus and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Wii Sports Resort placed sixth, followed by New Super Mario Bros. Wii and new entry Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing.
Former chart toppers BioShock 2 and FIFA 10 rounded off the top ten.
