Platinum Games’ Anarchy Reigns is the sole new entry in the UK all formats chart this week as EA’s FIFA 13 claims its sixth number one.
Anarchy Reigns’ arrival at UK retail has been a long time coming. When publisher Sega delayed the title indefinitely in June last year, Platinum Games’ frustrated executive director Atsushi Inaba revealed that the Japanese studio had no idea about the decision until it emerged on the web.
The entire top ten suffered a week-on-week decline in sales, with the top five unchanged from last week’s charts. Ubisoft’s Just Dance 4 climbed one place from last week to number six, while Football Manager 2013 climbed several spots to break into the top ten at number eight.
Here is the UKIE GfK Chart-Track All Formats top ten for the week ending January 12th, with week-on-week sales performance in brackets:
01. FIFA 13 (-47%)
02. Far Cry 3 (-36%)
03. Call Of Duty: Black Ops II (-41%)
04. Hitman Absolution (-54%)
05. Need For Speed: Most Wanted (-54%)
