UK trade association UKIE is holding its inaugaral Scottish office event today in the Hannah Maclure Centre at Abertay University.
The event, which was sold out, will be centered around the funding opportunities available to interactive entertainment businesses.
Speakers will discuss venture capital, angel investment, prototype and crowd-funding opportunities. The recently announced UK tax breaks will also feature.
“The Scottish video games industry is highly skilled and leads the way in producing innovative digital content," UKIE CEO Dr Jo Twist said.
"UKIE is therefore delighted to be further supporting interactive entertainment businesses in Scotland through the launch of our Scottish office.
“We know that access to finance can be a barrier to growth for many Scottish games businesses and are delighted that our first UKIE Scotland Office event will give expert advice on the range of funding opportunities that are available for all interactive entertainment businesses – large or small.”
