EA’s The Sims 2: Double Deluxe was the bestselling packaged PC title in the US during the week ended May 30, the week preceding the release of The Sims 3, according to NPD data.
Once again The Sims 2 held off competition from World Of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King, while Spore rose two places to third.
The news comes as The Sims 3 recorded the UK’s fourth biggest opening week ever for a PC title to debut at number one on the chart, “delighting” EA.
World Of Warcraft releases took the fourth and fifth spots on the US PC chart, ahead of Empire: Total War, Reel Deal Slots Adventure, Civilization IV: Complete Edition, The Sims 2: Apartment Life and Left 4 Dead.
