World Of Tanks developer Wargaming has acquired Chris Taylor’s Gas Powered Games, it has been revealed today.
GPG, which is responsible for games such as Dungeon Siege, Supreme Commander and Demigod (pictured), recently cancelled the Kickstarter campaign for it’s in-development action RPG Wildman after it failed to gather enough momentum to reach target – a statement released by the studio said that it needed to focus on “other ways to keep Gas Powered Games running”.
“Gas Powered Games’ heritage and development pedigree shows us just how valuable an addition Chris and his company will make to the Wargaming family,” said Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi. “Gas Powered Games has a long track record of providing incredibly engaging AAA gaming experiences and we can’t wait to start working with them.”
GPG is Wargaming’s second acquisition this year – the company snapped up Fracture developer Day 1 last month for $20 million.
