Jeff Junge, who led the recent acquisition of Midway Games’ development studios and IP, has been promoted to senior VP of business management at the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.
Prior to his promotion, Junge was a key player in Warner’s move to invest in the gaming on demand service OnLive, and also guided the studio’s acquisition of TT Games. In his new role he will continue to drive mergers and acquisitions for the Home Entertainment Group.
“Warner Bros. now has access to a greatly expanded catalogue of valuable intellectual properties that can be developed and re-released on new games and digital platforms, adapted for film or TV, leveraged for consumer products, or licensed to third parties,” the company said in a statement.
