Brian Fargo's bid to fund development of a sequel to post-apocalyptic PC RPG Wasteland has already proven successful after the project passed its target on crowdfunding website Kickstarter within two days.
Fargo's InXile Entertainment studio sought $900,000 for Wasteland 2, a sequel to the 1988 game which inspired Fallout. At the time of writing the project has raised $923,028 from 16,015 backers, with 33 days left on the clock.
"We did! Fantastic," Fargo wrote on Twitter after the project met its funding goal. "I am going to sleep like a baby tonight. Once again I am awed by the support. A dream come true. You have all been amazing, and only through your efforts would this have ever happened."
