Wii Fit has now earned its fourth consecutive week at the top of the UK all format charts,‭ ‬marking it as Nintendo’s second-longest running title at the top.‭

Wii Fit has now enjoyed a total of eight weeks at the top of the chart‭; ‬one more than the once-phenomenon Pokemon Gold.‭ ‬According to data provided by GfK Chart Track, Wii Fit is now edging closer to the‭ ‬Kyoto-based company’s longest serving‭ ‬UK number one,‭ ‬Pokemon Yellow,‭ ‬which has clocked ten combined weeks atop the charts since its release in‭ ‬2000.

Sales of Wii Fit trimmed slightly‭; ‬down‭ ‬2‭ ‬percent on last week’s performance,‭ ‬while its established peers in the top ten each saw an even higher decline in sales.

A‭ ‬20‭ ‬percent fall in weekly turnover saw Activision’s World At War drop to third,‭ ‬while FIFA‭ ‬09‭ ‬shows a little more buoyancy‭; ‬shedding‭ ‬12‭ ‬percent in sales but enough to see Treyarch’s war shooter slip below.‭ ‬Activision will no doubt be delighted with the‭ ‬UK sales performance of World At War‭; ‬third in the charts is in fact the game’s lowest performance since its release thirteen weeks ago.‭

Nintendo,‭ ‬meanwhile,‭ ‬is holding five positions in the chart.‭ ‬Mario Kart Wii and Wii Play hold sixth and seventh respectively,‭ ‬despite the former seeing a‭ ‬13‭ ‬percent sales decline and the latter dropping by‭ ‬16‭ ‬percent.‭ ‬The DS title‭ ‬Professor Layton and the‭ ‬Curious‭ ‬Village‭ (‬down‭ ‬14‭ ‬percent‭) ‬skips down to fifth,‭ ‬making way for Nintendo’s new arrival,‭ ‬Mystery Case Files:‭ ‬Millionheir,‭ ‬which debuts at fourth.‭

EA’s Skate‭ ‬2‭ ‬sees sales plunge‭ ‬37‭ ‬percent,‭ ‬enough for the game to fall from fifth to eighth,‭ ‬while a‭ ‬28‭ ‬percent drop sees Need‭ ‬for Speed:‭ ‬Undercover slip out of the top ten and back to thirteenth‭; ‬the same position it landed in two weeks ago.‭

Activision’s Guitar Hero World Tour climbs back to tenth despite an‭ ‬18‭ ‬percent sales decline,‭ ‬while Mario‭ & ‬Sonic at the Olympic Games jumps three places up to ninth.‭
