Nintendo’s Wii Sports Resort has become the third fastest-selling Wii title in Japan.
According to Famitsu data (via the Financial Times), the game sold 353,827 copies in just four days following its June 25 launch.
The original Wii Sports, which was bundled with the console outside of Japan, has gone on to sell over 45 million copies. Including bundled sales, that makes the Wii launch title the bestselling game in history.
Japanese hardware sales will be released by Media Create on Friday, and could well show a lift in Wii adoption on the back of Wii Sports Resort’s release.
The game will be released in Europe on July 24 and in the States on July 26, and will come packed with a single MotionPlus accessory.
