Nintendo’s Wii Sport Resort headed the Japanese software chart during the week ended July 5.
Last week the game was crowned Japan’s third fastest-selling Wii title after shifting 353,827 copies in just four days following its June 25 launch.
Set for release in Europe on July 24 and in the States on July 26, Wii Sports Resort sold 153,000 copies in its second week in Japan, according to Media Create data (via Go Nintendo).
It charted ahead of two new PSP entries. Sega’s rhythm game Hatsune Miku: Project Diva cleared 100,000 sales in its debut week, while Boku no Natsuyasumi 4, the latest title in SCE’s casual adventure series, entered in third place after moving 57,000 copies.
The top ten consisted of four PSP titles, three games for DS, two for Wii and one for PS3.
Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G featured in sixth place, with Capcom having announced yesterday that the title has become the first PSP game to ship 3.5 million units.
The only other new game to make the top 30 was EA Sports: Grand Slam Tennis for Wii, which entered at 21 with 4,300 sales.
