The Nintendo E3 press conference Tuesday has raised the curtain on many previously unknown first party Nintendo titles, with Wii Sports Resort being a cornerstone of the company’s 2009 strategy.

Wii Sports Resort will come packed in with the Wii MotionPlus accessory that was revealed on Monday, as well as an extended Wii Remote jacket that will also house the new peripheral. The game will take advantage of the MotionPlus with activities that require the enhanced wrist and hand motion tracking. Events currently known to be in the game include sword play, water scooter racing, and flying disc.

Also announced at the event were Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii, Wii Music, a Pokemon Ranger DS sequel, and the local release of Cooking Navi. For the full recap of the conference, click here.
