Kids' entertainment company Cookie Jar has signed an agreement with WildTangent to distribute Magi-Nation: Battle for the Moonlands online.

Cookie Jar, which is also behind massive kids' properties like "Caillou" and "The Doodlebops," said in a statement Wednesday that the WildTangent deal marks a "major expansion" in the company's promotional efforts for Magi-Nation: Battle for the Moonlands.

The "free-to-play" online game, based on a kids' TV show, generates its revenues from in-game ads and virtual item buys.

WildTangent's games client can be found on PCs from companies including Dell, HP and Toshiba. The firm also operates WildGames.com and runs WildTangent Game Studios.

"...We anticipate the Moonlands online game experience to resonate loudly in the WildTangent community," said WildTangent business development director David Worle in a statement.
