Publisher Activision and developer Treyarch have announced that the first map pack for Call of Duty: World at War has been downloaded over two million times since its launch in mid-March.

“This is a huge milestone and we are so appreciative of our incredibly supportive community who continue to play and enjoy the game,” said Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia.

In early April Activision said that the map pack had been downloaded over a million times during its first weekend of availability.

The DLC pack features four extra multiplayer maps and is priced at $9.99/£7.99 on PSN and 800 Microsoft Points, or around $10/£6.80, on Xbox Live.

Activision has also confirmed that a second Treyarch developed downloadable map pack for the game is set to release in June.
