The vaunted Xbox Live Primetime feature is going to miss the launch of the "New Xbox Experience" on November 19, Forbes reports.

Primetime was to combine a TV gameshow-like experience with the interactivity of games across Xbox Live. Players would be eligible to win real world prizes.

But now the feature, which could do wonders in Microsoft's bid for the mainstream gamer, won't be available until this coming spring.

The TV show 1 vs. 100 was to be the first gameshow to be adapted for Primetime, with scheduled events bringing connected gamers together in one virtual place.

Microsoft's Aaron Greeberg told Forbes Microsoft is still committed to Primetime despite its delay.

The New Xbox Experience is a free update for Xbox 360 that Microsoft says will improve the console's accessibility with a revamped interface and new community features.

Problem with downloadable stuff is when the console craps out all the downloadable stuff is lost... I lost over $200 worth of content when my 360 died... I did recover $100 when I traded it in.

You know, as long as you use the same gamertag/account, you can redownload all that stuff all over again? Once you pay for something, you can download it as many times as you want, even onto a new 360 (you will only retian the license to the one you gamertag is linked to).

I couldn't afford to replace it or have it fixed

Just sell all the fish you catch, then you can get a 360 (but keep your xbox 1 so you can keep playing pro fishing).

Does anyone really care about the primetime thing? I'm most excited about the option of installing my games on the HDD so I don't have to hear a jet engine going while I play my xbox.
