An Xbox Live dashboard ad (pictured) for MTV Games’ newly released Rock Band 2 has seemingly confirmed Microsoft’s intention to launch its revamped Xbox Live service this November.

Spotted by GameSpot, the advert urges users to "Check out the New Xbox Experience coming in November."

Announced at E3 in July and set to be rolled out via a free update, the revamped Xbox Live service will add a new overall look to the Xbox 360 dashboard and make it easier to navigate. It will introduce customizable avatars and a number of additional community features. It will also enable users to install games directly to the Xbox 360’s hard drive, and allow US users to stream movie and TV content to their consoles from Netflix.

Microsoft has so far refused to put a date on the launch of the updated service, but said earlier this week that Xbox Live will go offline for maintenance for up to 24 hours on Monday, September 29 "in preparation for the new Xbox experience which will be available later this fall”.

Back in July Edge magazine visited Xbox’s Seattle headquarters to get the inside story on Xbox Live’s reinvention. Check out the feature here for more details

I noticed last night they have changed it from 'November' to 'Fall' now.
