Independent mobile games developer Xendex has secured $3.5 million in a second round of funding led by Pontis Capital.
The new investment follows a $3.6 million funding round completed by the Austria-based firm in June 2008.
Founded in 2001, the Space Invaders Evolution, FlatOut and Red Bull X-Fighters developer employs more than 40 people across its offices in Austria, France, Poland, Bulgaria and the UK.
Michael Haberl, CEO of Xendex, said that the two funding rounds had enabled the company to “lay the foundation for future growth by investing into new technology, licenses as well as the expansion to new gaming platforms”.
