Microsoft has begun touting the gaming functionality of the Zune HD, according to a supposed leaked promotional video.
The video highlights the various features on Microsoft’s new device, including a clip of a 3D racing game, originally spotted by Gizmondo. This follows comments made by Shane Kim, corporate VP of strategy and business development at Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business, that a Microsoft handheld gaming device was an inevitability and only a matter of “when”.
Last week, Apple announced that it would be pushing the iPod touch as a gaming machine and lowered the price of the 8GB model to USD199.
MS comes in last so they can assess what everyone else is doing and steal the best ideas. There's a surprise.
That sounds like smart business to me. Besides, everyone does it, be it Apple, Sony, or whoever.
"Me too" Microsoft strikes again! I LOLed.
Oh, and this information was "leaked," was it? LOL again. Let me tell you something, Edge editors and readers: there is no such thing as a Microsoft leak. Anything classified as "rumor" or "leaked information" about a Microsoft product is something they leaked themselves. Microsoft doesn't need to worry about keeping its plans secret because nobody cares what the least innovative company in the world is up to.
My only question is whether they're going to deploy the viral marketers now or wait until this POS actually launches. We shall see!
Yep, it's all a conspiracy. Massive, publically owned corporations with thousands of employees never have information leak accidentally. You can remove the tin-foil hat now, DubsTF.
If MS is so lacking in innovation why is Sony struggling so hard to even catch up to Live, let alone blaze the trail on otheir own? More specific to this product, why hasn't the company that brought us the Walkman managed to recapture that space after all this time? Oh yeah, you would need good software engineers and an understanding of online marketplaces to compete these days - maybe Sony can continue to copy MS' online stores for some more "innovative" ideas.
You're obviously welcome to your opinion and you are more than welcome to believe the hogwash Microsoft's PR machine shoves down your throat on a daily basis, much of which passes unfiltered through this site; as for me, I've yet to see a Microsoft "rumor" or "leak" that I consider to be genuine, this one included. Part of the reason for this is that Microsoft rumors never turn out to be inaccurate.
Now what's all this about Sony? I don't recall mentioning Sony in my original post.
here we go again this evil company...oh now i'm supercool but why most still use windows instead of linux or leopard?
I usually only reply to comments written in English, but assuming I've translated yours correctly are you really that clueless about why so many people and businesses are stuck with a crap OS like Windholes? Do the phrases "unlawful conduct" and "anticompetitive behavior" mean anything to you?
first of all forgive me for my bad english.i know what you mean and i agree i just wanted to point a trend people going against microsoft because others do...but you have clear arguments and i respect that
Way to wimp out of that one, dude...
