Atlus has confirmed that it is to publish Team Persona’s Catherine in the west, just days after saying it had no plans to do so.The publisher announced today that the game, Team Persona’s debut on the current generation of consoles, will be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in the west this Summer.
Atlus, publisher of Team Persona’s baffling erotic horror game Catherine, has said it has no plans to release the game in the West.The publisher issued a brief statement to Beefjack saying: “Catherine is a Japan-only game and there are no plans for a North American release at this time. Sorry about that!”
Team Persona’s first game for the current generation of consoles, Catherine, is the new number one game in Japan.The PlayStation 3 version of the game sold over 140,000 units, enough to secure top slot even without the Xbox 360 release, which sold a shade under 22,000 copies.
