Demon's Souls was the only title last year that had me playing the PS3 again. It was an absolutely fantastic game and SONY are idiots for not releasing it world-wide. I hope a Eurpoean release is still on the cards...

I totally disagree with the concept of dumbing down / drawing pale similarities with gaming in order to satisify the press or the non-gaming public. Some of the greatest creations in music, art and film are born out of simply doing their own thing and by intentionally not conforming or trying to compare themselves to anything else.

If you're referring to the Simpsons I don't quite see the link in that. It's a sit-com animation. The Flintsones and The Jetsons were animated sit-coms long before The Simpsons came along. That's hardly new media.
