OMG... Some people seriously. Mr Altair, I would like to know how YOU would start a game development company in todays world. Making a triple A title costs millions of dollars (or euros), not to mention that you would need a huge staff of experienced programmers and artists. It's just not possible to just jump in and become an instant success with a huge game. Maybe in 90s, where games like doom or quake could be made with 5 programmers and a few artists and sell millions of copies. But nowadays that's just not possible. Most Indie or small GD companies start by making games and distributing them on the digital space (pc downloads, XBLA, WiiWare, etc.) where the costs and risks to make and distribute their games are reasonable and won't cost them their entire life's fortune. I admire you Paulo, and I think that pushing Portugal into the massive game industry was a necessary step that someone had to make.
Who the hell do you think you are speaking in name of Portugal? You should be ashamed of yourself. Fool!!
By the way, you write "After producing several games and animations and founding the Portuguese Game Developers Association (APROJE) in 2005". Can you tell us the several games you produced?? And how "Appealing to the Pop market has been lucrative for us in several ways" when you have only released a crappy game for DS (completely bashed by reviewers) that sold +- 2000 copies????
Get real man, and stop of pretending to be someone who you are not.
By the way, it seems to me that a lot of your text was just ripped from some other game development company's website... Hummm.... Déja vu........
Hi Paulo,
Would you be attending Leipzig soon? Would be great to have a couple of minutes for meeting.
Sincerely,
Oleg
