I wasn't surprised by the '10' for GTAIV either but don't agree with it at all. For the first few hours of gameplay I might have done, but by the mid-point, it became apparent that the game itself was average at best (poor controls, unforgivable lack of a checkpoint system, repetitive missions) but, to some, this was overshadowed by the brilliance and ingenuity of the world in which you play it. In hindsight and with a mind free from media hype, I can now honestly say that I found the first 'Assassin's Creed' to be a much more enjoyable experience than GTAIV. It suffered badly from one or two similar issues - most notably the repetitive missions - but was buoyed by its vastly superior control system and equally immersive atmosphere.

Nathan Fillion is a no-brainer for the role of Drake. His character in 'Firefly' and 'Serenity' is so uncannily similar in appearance, mannerisms and personality to Drake that the only reason I can think of they wouldn't cast him is that it would be a little TOO obvious.

To be honest, I'm the exact opposite. I used to spend 15-20 hours per week playing games but now I rarely spend more than 2 or 3 hours a week on the Xbox 360/PS3 as I spend far more time watching films. I think I've reached a stage where the majority of releases no longer excite me because I often feel like I've played them all before. I probably won't even buy Modern Warfare 2 unless there's something seriously original in it because the thought of playing through yet another FPS just doesn't get my pulse racing anymore.

I'm really looking forward to Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 though!

True, but when you're not using it you have to look at it. What makes the PS3 Slim even worse is the fact it is deeper than the 'fat' model giving it a real Atari 5200 vibe which is certainly not a good thing.
