I agree with everything in this list and possibly more, game developers have got sloppy, even I could come up with decent work around for say a medipack. They rely too much on what is already out there rather than finding something unique.

I will just point out that none of the games in the list had a playable demo AND none of them are made by valve, spore did have a demo but it was the best part of the game that they released for free.

I also agree the only way that they are going to control the piracy for PC games is if they use account system like Valve are using with Steam, the game is built around steam being there and thus can not be played without steam being spoofed also games like WOW where you need an Account to login to play. If valve are flurishing from it why cant anyone else, eventually there could be just 1 login system where it controls all games and has 1 massive community (steam maybe?)

And no EA battlefield login to play system sucked (launch in offline and connect pirate servers is not login required to play EA use your heads!)

Companys should be banding together to fight it not looking the other way.

Sure I probably downloaded nearly every game in that list, why? Because its so easy to and I didnt pay a penny to complete any of them. If I was forced to pay like a console for example I would of bought most of them in the list, i am a proud owner of Call of Duty 4 for example, I completed that and then bought it for the PC.

And yet my steam account has 26 bought and paid for games on it, I think valve is doing it the right way.

I believe EA have gone about buisness the wrong way, sure they have made profits but they have gone around buying unique companys like Bioware and Lionhead Studios, only to tarnish them with the EA Branding, they didnt make Left 4 Dead only published it for Valve for the console. EA should look at every game as a new oppertunity, they and many other companies like UBiSoft have flooded the gaming market with games which have no difference between one another, for example it took EA 6 years to change their FIFA engine from 2002 to 2008, look how much PES dominated them until FIFA 08 which brought a new engine and boosted their sales by loads. People dont want the different games tarnished with the same brush, people want unique experiences, classic example of this was Westwood Studios, correct me if i am wrong, C&C was one of the best RTS games going, EA buy them out sure generals was decent but lacked what the originals had the same goes for C&C3 and Red Alert 3 (which I could not play for more than 10 minutes).

Quake and Doom is a good example of two games with similar genre but different experiences, pretty much the same type of game but they were worlds apart, anyone could sit there and tell the two apart and still enjoying playing them.

EA and other publishing companies need to take a step back and look what games like Diablo, C&C, Starcraft, Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, Quake and Doom brought to the table for us and what made us be able to tell the diffrerence between the next one

Im going to air what I think about this picture, as much I want it to stay with the ps3 I can not deny that the picture suggests a Xbox 360 port but there is no where on the picture that suggests that this picture is about metal gear SOLID since it only refers to Metal Gear. this either means 2 things, a compeletly new Metal Gear or an AC!D game. Now correct me if im wrong but:-

Both Metal Gear games, Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear AC!D both fill in the equation on the left, the i in solid and the ! in AC!D, now that could only mean Solid + AC!D = universal power symbol with exclamation mark, this to me suggests maybe a new game with both aspects of solid and acid. like MGS4 engine with AC!D type game play since the result shows more dominant to AC!D with the exclamation mark.
