you couldn t place as much on a cart as on a cd. square went with sony with ff7 because of that. it was a huge blow for nintendo.

if i remember well, nintendo was charging a lot for producing the carts as well and it drove away a lot of publishers.

the n64 had some of the best games ever made on console.

it s a shame that nintendo triedto do the same politics with 3rd parties with is n64 as they did with their former consoles.
