While my copies of Halo3, Grand Theft Auto 4, The ORange Box, and the rest of my 360 collection have slowly started to just become more dust-collectors with my pile of old Playstation2 games, Geometry Wars 1 and 2 have given me horrible callouses on my right thumb from a nearly-depressing number of hours gameplay.

    Brilliance. Pure Brilliance.

I think the best thing, for me, about GW2 is that it doesn't replace GW1. Like, every game mode is addictive and fun, but there is still a plac for Retro Evolved 1. It isn't the case of the shinier sequel making the previous game obsolete--just a 7th game mode a few more menus away...

Interesting article. I am an avid manual reader and always took the manuals f my new games to school for everyone else to read. Good times...

Back in the SNES days and thereabout, the story of so many games wasn't even conceivable unless you read the manual first. For example, the -entire- story of Doom was in that one page of the manual. That one page then went on to be the basis for a series of four novels! Even Gears of War, without reading the novel (or watching the trailer during the Main Menu), you have no idea what the story is.

Much like manhunt, the city guides for vice city, san andreas, and liberty city were very good manuals.

Silversun Pickups! At The Drive-In! Interpol! so many others... this is pretty awesome. I've never owned a Guitar Hero.. and the ones I have played before, the limited good songs have dissapointed me. This one looks awesome though. At least, for my personal taste in music.

What's the difference between a seated game and an active game? I assumed active game meant mat-like things but the first paragraph of this article seperates "mat games" from "active games". Does active mean something more lie Mario Kart Wii, then?
