The Army's been using sims for a long time. This is basically a much better upgrade they're working on. I've read in other blogs this is not the time to spend money this way; however, this is exactly the time. Sims save Soldiers lives. The return on investment far outweighs what the cost to the taxpayer will be in replacing a trained Soldier, equipment and vehicles. The current sims done just that, saves lives and equipment. Look it, many high-risk vocations already use high-tech (and high cost) sims...doctors, commerical airline pilots, police. And the Army doesn't stop at sims. Sims coupled with live-fire lane training is the key to success before they send Soldiers down-range to locations America's elected representatives determine as necessary.
