The things is a console is so easy for gaming, you put your game in you play (although installing games seems all the rage these days) but yeah I have had almost no issues at all with gaming on a console, compared to pc which I have more horror stories then I would have liked.
PC gaming also always had the stigma of the next best thing. Games look pretty on pcs sure but most people still don't have pcs that can play Crysis, which has been out for how long? Consoles are here and will probably stay for a very long time.
Did he just say that people pirate games because the games are too high spec? Rubbish, I know he's trying to make a point but come on that's just a lie, most of friends pirates games on the pc and no matter how much they liked it there is no way they'd buy it...
Ofcourse they're not going to drop the price, the more they drop the price the more they sell but by dropping the price you're decreasing your profits, especially if you decrease the price as much as Microsoft has, they basically need to see two consoles now to get the same profit they made selling one before the price cut.
Well I agree with the MSG control scheme not being all that difficult to master, although your estimates are a bit off, dual-layer blueray = 50 gig, dual layer HD = 15 gig (+-) so actually its only like 4 (if its all dual layer of course).
But My opinion is that MGS4 was so heavily optimized for the PS3 (for people that don't know programming that means assembly lots of assembly), that they'd probably have to rewrite most of the it for the xbox.
