*ahem* So let me get this straight you know more than 50 percent are pirating games and four percent of them have admitted to it. Hmm, I got nothing. But seriously guys how long has this been going on? I remember when I bought a fake copy of NBA 2k3 on Fordham Rd. on the corner Webster Ave for $5 dollars. Haha....But no seriously it was like that.

While I was reading about recent news happening in the game industry I came across two articles talking about the Nintendo Wii. The first article I read was about Analysis saying Wii manufacture cost went down 45% percent. The first thing that went thought my head was “Ok, where they’re trying to get at here a price cut on the Wii.” They mention that Wii has a chance to lower their retail price, Hmm, Lets say no to that. First off, why would they cut their prices on their already cheap system?

This true about lighting. I'm currently going to school for Game Art Design and I've noticed ever since I started going to school I analyze every game. For example, Final Fantasy 13. Great architecture, great graphics but on Chapter 5 level I caught myself running to every dark corner to make sure I'm not missing anything. After awhile it got alittle irraitating. But when I read this it finally came to my attention that its lighting. This is something that every designer should start paying attention to if not already doing so.
I think digital distribution is great but theirs still a lot of people who would rather have a physical copy. Digital Distribution would definetly save money but its going to be interesting on how many people actual switches over.
I agree. The majority of my friends on 360 has a moded console or either selling one on the side. And when I say majority I mean about 80 percent.
I agree with 4thVariety. The Apple IPhone will always be a mobile devices and nothing more. Steve Jobs can try as hard as he wants pushing it to be a game machine but casual gamers and hardcore gamers would choose PSP and DS any day over an iPhone as their handheld system.
