What is happening to Gabe Newell, he seemed to be everything that gaming needed.
The half life games are fantastic. Upon release they clearly pushed gaming forward in a fundamentally positive way. When steam was announced it seemed to be clear what could be achieved. Cheaper games delivered straight to your hard drive.

Things have gone horribly wrong, steam prices offer no real advantages over the high street,
Newell gets our money and our system specs(great for designing games) and the gamer loses out again. No hard copy.

Even worse Gabe Newell now has a problem with the PS3. I have a 360, PS3 and PC, all platforms offer great games. What is Gabe on. He should be creating great games, not picking sides. I wonder what he has to say on the matter.
