Why don't you try reading the article.

It's not innovation for gameplay, it's innovation for menu systems, functionality, community support and new ways of playing games, ie. creating new maps with each other.

I can see why they might be non too keen to promote the forum or want to change it. There is a lot of pathetic posts made there. Bad attempts at humour, pointless private arguments, insulting people who try to make an interesting thread. However, when we stick to just discussing games, it's pretty good.
