My goodness, could it possibly be so? Games....decent sounding ones...available for the PSP...after how many years after the PSP was released...? Yay!

Home on the PS3? Still waiting for someone to tell me the point of this....why gather in a virtual world to talk about games...why not use precious time we have to play them? Nearly every game with online functionality comes with some form of built in lobby to find users with similar levels of experience and gaming desires.....why bother booting up Home...waiting for updates to download....etc....etc....etc....(and don't even mention the idea of spending my hard earned cash on virtual trousers and coffee tables) - answers on a postcard please...

Well, what a surprise! Another pointless add on by Sony bites the dust. I have a psp and bought it to play games... due to hardly any coming out now use it to show photos, play music on holiday and watch cheap second hand UMDs. Worried also that Sony want me to use my PS3 as a mulitmedia box instead of my PC - they need to remember these are first and foremost gaming consoles. I'll surf the net on the superior PC based firefox, I'll store my photos and music using the superior PC based software...focus on the GAMES!!

Looks lovely, but I can't help feeling that most of the 'jumpy, scary' moments are caused by those clunky controls, not being able to see what is to my left and right easily and the turning makes me feel like I have a metal rod in my back. I seem to be fighting the controls more than the zombies!!

I must also confess to enjoying the careful, considered, 'build up to a shock' resi one experience more than the more recent 'shoot everything that moves and then search around for extra ammo in between waves of nasties' experience. Collecting extras has to be part of any FPS but it just feels a little contrived here. Next gen game? Nah...but, as I said...it sure looks pretty - is that enough anymore?

Agree with many of things already on this thread. Sony has concentrated on making the PSP try to do everything and has ended up with a 'Jack of all trades but master of none'. I would also say they are doing the same thing with the PS3.

I like the idea of a company that is constantly looking to improve and adapt its hardware to make it multi-functional (I use my PSP for PlayTV, storing images, playing movies, listening to music - its great on holiday) but PSP and PS3 ARE first and foremost GAMES consoles. Over 2 years in and PS3 is just about to get some half decent exclusive titles. PSP?....all I see are the same old titles collecting dust on the shelf which seems a waste of essentially a powerful piece of kit.

I don't think Sony have ever released a 'dud' format but they need to reprioritise to address the needs of their core audience.

10 year life cycle suggests value for money and stability but I didn't think that I would have to wait at least 5 years of it for Sony to start releasing some half decent games that make the most of the hardware (and that's me being optimistic).

I am a loyal Playstation fan but must confess to being narked off by inferior ports (Fallout 3 is a disaster compared to the 360 version and no dlc either), pointless sequels (let's face it, Killzone 2 and God of War 3 will look and sound pretty but hardly extend the already small variety of games available on the system) and uninventive games being pushed in my direction.

Am I the only PS3 and PSP owner who is looking at his / her two consoles wondering what to use them for? I've played the few decent games that have come out, what now? I don't want to use my PS3 as an expensive ipod / digital photo frame / tv recorder....
