It just has to do with people not having money. I actually think its still strong in the PC Gaming market, but everything else, businesses just can't afford updating or adding new hardware. Take in the fact that a ton of retail stores are closed down, those are lost customers for GPU hardware, so that falls on the percentage.
But as far as PC gaming goes, people are buckling up on costs, but there are a ton of games out there that we would spend on. So it comes down on gamers if they really need a new gpu or get that copy of left 4 dead
Not an actual suprise that PS2 won. Almost every household that owns a console atleast has or has had a PS2. Not to mention highly competitive games like tekken and MK. And its also the cheapest way to get some of the most popular games such as Guitar Hero. I myself having a Wii, xbox 360 and PS2 in the house play the PS2 only and may even rival my PC Gaming usage which is significant since I am mainly a PC Gamer.
It may have been interesting to see PC usage the results will be very diluted since almost anyone can say they use a PC. They would have to specifically state how much time they use it for gaming only. Even then people can still say they "game" on PC's by only playing free browser based games on the internet.

The first Assassins Creed was great on the PC version, but I agree the console version was boring. I hope they don't screw around with it too much.
