That would be great. I remember when those two were released for the C64 years ago - two classics released on the same weekend in 1988. My old man bought me the two of them as a one off treat.

I imagine that each PSN account that gets created probably contains the serial number of the machine used to create the account in the first place.
Sony would just have to do an aggregate database query on their PSN accounts database to get the number of PS3's in use.
It is not hard to do in this day and age.

If it wasn't for the dreadful D-pad on the 360 controller, MS would have had my cash for this one long ago.

So MS has known about the fault since 2005. Three and a half years later and despite two chipset redesigns the 360s that are leaving the factory today still have the RROD risk hanging over them
