Yesterday Michael Pachter (Wedbush Morgan analyst), Seamus Blackley (Head of Games Department, CAA), and Dan Hsu (Former EIC, EGM) had a little chat at Gametrailers about the future of video game consoles. The bottom line: the next five years might be the end of game consoles as we know them.

just released Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes on the iPod for $5... I was wondering if Nintendo would take the "necessary steps" with the DS and DLC. It's beyond me: the big N loses money constantly with "exclusive" releases like the Korg DS-10 which has been pirated in two days and downloaded by thousands already (there is a post about that and the DS piracy / homebrew scene at CDM).

I'm not sure about you but I'm pretty excited about BlazBlue, Fat Princess, Final Fantasy XIII Versus, fl0wer, God of War III, Heavy Rain, the upcoming ICO team game, and Killzone 2. Just off the top of my head.
Bottom line: both of us are satisfied with their system(s) of choice.
The simple fact is that (when all said and done) the 360 is far too expensive and has an inferior games library compared to the ps3.
MS's lies and arrogance have finally come back to bite them and deservedly so.
Look what I did there. Won't argue, won't explain. Just said a dumb subjective nonsense.

Ps. you are a fanboy, I'm a fanboy, we all are fanboys, no biggie. The only difference betwwen us (I presume) is that I owned both systems and had the 360 "experience" which was way too inferior to the ps3 one. There it is. What would you do about that?
The bottom line: 2008 will be the year of both brand (with Ninty miles before them).
