Sure, Its Glitchy, but Its a fun Glitchy. I saw crap that I would never See in a "perfect" coding of a game. Like one of my favorite moments:
I killed a person before they got out of thier car. sure, the body stayed in the car, and then while being chased, the body was rolling around in the front seat. now then when we smashed head on into another car, their body coming through my open windsheild. I then had 2 bodies rolling around in the front seat. one of the bodies Legs handing out of the window, and then Pulling up next to a cop at the intersection.
Sure its minor, but If I had video, it makes for great comedy. especially when your guy is naked and the bodies "head" is in your lap. I love Ragdoll physics.
I wish there was a splitscreen mode for Local Versus, and maybe some bot versus play, but I am quite happy with the over all package. Best game I have bought all year Thus far.
Now its going to cost us, even if we dont PHYSICALLY own the medium.
I hope the law will protect the Law abiders as well as Cripple (yeah right) Piracy outlets.
Now instead of Piracy going rampant, Only the Hackers and thier friends will continue to bootleg. Soon it will be "lets Sell the Hard drive" instead of "Lets sell the DVD".
But even so, would it have been worth it to Rip open and Brick your $400 or more system?
Xbox does Have Free games, at the expense of the industry. If Pirating wasnt so "cool" We wouldnt have this issue.
Blue Ray is still Great, overall. But the profit margins on using Blue-ray Tech over using standard DVD is not as Great. But as a gaming Medium, If Sony came down in Prices they would make thier money Back.
Who is to say that Sony isnt responsible for Making the Xbox Look weak to Pirating Communities?
This would be great Propoganda to Game companies who dont want to Put their games on a system they cant make money from.

I remember when it was the Chinese (at one time if I am correct) that Pirated Games and stuff because they would not sell certain games and stuff in their country, so they made it available to the people in thier country.
anyway, There is no reason that they couldnt make games affordable enough for the Poorest of the poor to play and become community. Remember the first Nintendo? It was great. Not too much Piracy, but again, it was a cartrige... which takes us back to your Point.

Even though The Programmers Got paid already for Programming the Game, Would it hurt the Publisher to sell HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of copies at 30 Dollars? (ok $80 dollars a game? wow. i would definitely hang up my controllers and stay a generation behind)
all of the developers making games that last Less than 10 hours should be ashamed of themselves.
60 - 80 bucks? NO WAY.
But Pirating Games? thats worse.
Remember, Pirating comes from People who look for cheaper ways to entertain themselves.
If Companies stop putting the squeeze on Used game sales, then maybe the poor of us can afford to game legally.

Gamers shall have the right to Haggle the Pricing of Highly Priced Games, with the choice of paying less due to advertisements included, or More without...
Ok, maybe I am just looking for a more affordable Ride. but I will bet you that if you sold Games for$30 if you got to put advertising on the Videogame Billboards and (tvs and radios in the game), then I think it would be fair.The Ad company would Pay the Game company Per game sold, so long as it does not hinder the Game on screen....
