The best ever version of RE was RE4 on the Wii. The RE series is the longest surviving IP to use diabolical controls as an excuse to make the game "tense" or "scary". Only the Wii version avoided this conceit and was far better for it. Going by the new RE5 demo (and knowing the game will be relatively the same throughout) I came to the conclusion that RE5 is mutton dressed as lamb. It looks amazing but it still remains as clunky and unfun to play as its always been on the joypad consoles.

Seven.
If their goal was profitable hardware, then why have they just re-designed and re-released the PS3 in a form which still makes a loss? Surely, according to your opinion, they should just be selling the cheaper old version?
The truth is the PS3 and BluRay are a calamitous failure and Sony are still too arrogant to admit that. (And I mean: it came last - yes, that is future tense).
I don't know why they need "game" courses especially as they are structured now. Modding is still a better way to learn the trade. Perhaps separate courses need to merge during semesters eg: '3d modelling for games' courses joining up with computer science students specializing in game programming and audio design. Afterall, the most useful experience is due to collaboration with other trades. I know for sure that if structural engineering and architecture courses actually collaborated on projects, people going to architecture and engineering would have more relevant skills and understand their professions better before starting work.
I'd like to see more retail games projects funded by the European arts councils. Just like they sometimes fund arty/serious/less commercial films - I think it'd be good to see some AAA-standard, non-commercial games which can concern themselves with settings/stories/issues that publishers wouldn't usually consider. But at the same time fund them well enough to get them to retail shelves/DLC distribution points.
Everyone has a Wii. What do you expect? One in every room in every house? People have to expect that sales will die off at some point.
I'm still waiting for a worthy successor to Pilot Wings 64 myself.
