This is great news, Sony keeps adding futures that we all love.
But seriously, I am so sick and tired of region specific content distribution.
Come on, we are over this kind of locked content thing, why are we still getting it?

With the net so big and vast, content everywhere, for everyone to get, this is very stone-age.
For us in the Nordic countries it is laughable bad, we don`t even has a video service for Xbox 30 as of yet, and we will never get it. When people talk about videos, movies from netflix and so on, as an add-on bonus feature for the Microsoft box, that don`t apply to us, it sucks, really.

But hopefully Sony will get it right and give everyone the same content, back away from region specific content and give everyone the same content on the same day.

This is bad, really bad. More people are going to lose their jobs, it`s terrible.

But more nervracking are the state of economies in export-driven countries. For the first time in almost two decades, major Japanese firms are losing money, and they are losing it fast. Sony went from a projected 400 billion yen profit margin to a loss of almost 200 billion, which is just crazy, unreal.

If you can name a major company that made money during 2008, please, be my guest and post them here. It is a hard and scary recession we are facing, of the likes we have never seen in our generation.

Personally, I am glad that I am currently studying and will not graduate until 2012. It will give me a chance to see where the major trends are going to flow towards during the coming years. But for all of you who are losing jobs and feeling the pinch... we all feel for you, and have faith that this will eventually pass and we will see a new market structure in maybe three to five years time. It will be hard, but in the meantime, it will also be exciting to see where the capitalistic system will go next.

For me it is about convinience.
I have a computer next to my PS3, but it is a hasyle to connect and chnge the display properties when I want to use my TV as a screen.

The PS3 has a good browser, it could be way, way better, but it keeps getting more fixes. This is one more stepp in the right direction.

Now I can watch The NHL Network in full screen, as well as OnTheSpot ^_^
I hope I can watch NHL anyway, it has not worked well as og yet, but hopefully we will be able to login with the PS3 soon.

This is offcourse no big surprise.
They hardware and software numbers are down across the boards around the world.

It just goes to show that everyone is affected buy the economic downturn.

People do not have less money but they do not dare to spend it. It is a tricky situation because economics is a game of trust and confidence. Nothing has changed around the world, no money is lost, it is all numbers on a board.

But when people stop buying goods, start selling bonds and stocks, and stuffing away the money they have, then it becomes a problem.

If we are going to get out of the economic slump, people must stop watching TV, star spending like they always have, and support their countries this holliday trough spending. Spend money on christmas gifts this season and you will see that the confidence will grow and the news will get better.

Do not be afraid, do some shopping and pay tax ^_^
It will all work out just fine!

Fantastic, not to steep specs, most of the PC gamer crowd out there has a dual or quad core these days, and if you don`t, they are not too expensive to buy.

Please folks, try and support the PC plattform, buy the game on PC, get great graphics, better controls and a much more immersive experience ^_^

Also, do not download the game from any torrent site or client, try and report user who do so. Remember, this is about economics, and if we want games to still be great, without getting flaws and bugs, buy the game, support the developers and stop this piracy thing.

It is stealing, there is no two ways about it, a game on a disc is still the same game on a server/harddrive. The code is the same.

  • Do you remember when driving to the store was a necessity for getting a game? Or when you had to get your butt off the sofa in order to get a good, competitive matchup at your local arcade place? Or maybe when you had a buddy along your side, playing split-screen games, laughing, drinking and having a blast at your home? Don`t you miss these moments, these social events or feelings when you really get to buy and hold a physical copy of a game? If you do, you should continue to read this article, as we start to discuss the future of digital distribution.

  • The month of October clearly shows us how this generation of consoles will fair in sales numbers when the dust fades off. PS3 will suffer and so will Sony, Microsoft have now developed a strong software play form with which they can move forward from, but they will have to be careful and Nintendo is just a great success story, the biggest one in the short lifespan of video gaming to date.
