EA wasn't doing so well with the license anyway. What did we get? A few hack and slash titles, yawn, some mediocre RTS, a LotR version of Dynasty Warriors... The only one showing promise was the RPG, Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, but instead of making a sequel, they just sat on it.
Why the hell are they calling it an MMO if it's "not an MMO"? When are they going to tell us what they're doing exactly?
I like the idea of a game I can sign into from anywhere and diddle around in. Maybe it's sort of like Dungeons and Dragons: Tiny Adventures on Facebook. I hope it has a little more staying power than that one, though.
Matteo should join Kotick and Riccitiello in the asshats of the industry club. They can have meetings at prominent restaurants, get liquored up, grab the waitress's ass, and talk about how they're the kings of the business.
Meanwhile, the people who are actually good for the industry, people like CD Projekt, Phil Harrison, Stardock... can meet across town.
If games and movies don't develop some mutual respect, all we can expect are films that are really bad action games and games that are really bad films, says Steven Poole.

Are you kidding? They'd be nuts not to release Monster Hunter on Wii with its huge install base.
I don't know if their fee is a good idea, but I can tell you that it's definitely a deal-breaker for me if that's the plan for the US release.
