I know that everyone says not to judge games based on their demo.... but I just played the Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts demo and.... I can't say I don't like it.... but I am canceling my pre-order. Even at it's lower price than most other games I think I'd much rather spend my money on something else. I think that it would be a fun game to play down the road, but right now.. with so many other great games coming out, I need something that wows me.

So, I get a call today from my sister. She had, just days before, talked to our good friend Vlatko (President of Bethesda Softworks). He said he would get me a copy of Fallout 3, have it signed by a bunch of the guys, and then mail it out to me so that I don't have to travel all the way to the East coast. I very much appreciate it, but still plan on heading to the East coast considering I haven't seen him in about 2 years.

I have heard numerous grumblings about the avatars on the NXE. They are compared to the Nintendo Wii Mii's-- This is completely justified. Then again, who cares? Those that would be complaining with outright cries of betrayal are those so insecure in their adulthood that they feel need to blame microsoft for trying to ebrace a more casual approach. I realize that the 360 is home to many adult-oriented games, but that does not make it an adult only system. Beyond that fact, cartoonie caricatures do not need to be associated with kids.

I have a question. If movies can coast millions upon millions to make yet a dvd is still usually under 20 or 25 dollars. Games generally coast less, but are 60 dollars. I think they just have to realize that these games are not worth what they are asking. If they had a cheaper price point then they would sell more and make used game less attractive.
I personally hate buying used games. I do everything I can to avoid it, but sometimes it is the only option.
I agree. Trying to make an JRPG "for the world" as they say will result in watered down garbage. The reason many people love these games is the japanese quirkiness and points of view.
If better marketing were used these games would sell a lot better in the use. Changing how they make the game, at least thus far, has not helped them.

They also need to learn how to use the unreal engine properly or just drop it and develop their own. The games look pretty great, but have such irratic framerates and slow down.
This is RETARDED. It is not Microsoft's fault if your system gets knocked over by your cat or something and screws up. The discs are spinning very fast in there. If the system is thrown of balance, even slightly, this will cause the disc to wobble/shift while spinning. This is common in ALL disc based system that do no lock the disc into place. The original PS2's were the same way.
This is a dumb argument. The overheating (RROD) issues are legit though.
I'm sorry..... but this is dumb.
