It's all about the art direction. del Toro's movies and vision share a lot with Ico and Shadow of the Colussus. I think he'd be my first choice to open a game studio, so here's hoping he does!

Let me just say that I am very pleased to see both critical and commercial acclaim/success for this most excellent title. I finished the game last night and only needed help from my kids (they are 5 and 7) on two of the very final puzzle pieces (OK, so they looked up the solutions on Youtube).

Mr. Blow has raised the bar for independent developers, which I can only see as a good thing for the industry.

On another topic, does anyone else (who played all the way through) think that he also got the extra benefit of de facto psychotherapy by making the game?

I have only played through about half of the game, but I have a feeling that this one will go down in history as a shining example of superb design. All aspects of the design (art, sound, gameplay, interface, etc.) were clearly given lots of thought. I am waiting in keen anticipation for Jonathan Blow's next project!

Glad to hear about the Netflix partnership, which will save me the $100 I was about to spend on a Roku box!
