I've been waiting to comment on that original article since it came out. That's just BS from some stupid analyst that has no idea about the game side of the PS3. John_Ryan took my point that I wanted to make. It just makes no sense because the PS3 games are on BluRay. As confusing as it is that backwards compatibility has been since removed, it'd be devastating if some games didn't play on the PS3 like the 360 arcade.
I think looking at the fact that the games division only lost a few hundred thousand for the year should be enough proof that the games division is not the cause of Sony's massive problems. They've had several battery recalls in the past year and their TV sales are now starting to get overtaken by Samsung and their cheap TVs/high profile marketing strategy. Toss in the fact that their MP3 players and Phones are no longer the talk of the town, and well... I think you can see how they managed to have over a billion dollars in losses.
The point of single player campaign missions is to familiarize everyone with the intricacies of each race, not as a story point. That's always been my understanding about these kinda things. I think if Blizzard simply divided the story into 3 sections focusing on each different race, but still have all three races have single campaigns in each expansion, people wouldn't be harping on it as much. Already, with this announcement, it just looks like Blizzard is trying to rework the wheel that they had already designed fairly well. In the end, it now looks like Blizzard simply ran out of time and couldn't perfect things as well as they could have and will now automatically be releasing two additional expansions to shore up content and bring together the vision they had in the first place.

Ridiculous

Zone of Enders 3 would be a good way to test those principles.
