No wonder you're having crummy video and audio. I checked out your receiver and it appears it doesn't have any HDMI connections. HDMI is important to achieve full 1080p image resolution and Tru HD 5.1 audio, although using less speakers than a 6.1 set-up, is more detailed and vastly superior to set-ups using just optical or coaxial connections. The Matrix Trilogy is so detailed in my HDMI set-up that you can see the stitching in Neo's black pants and trench coat. Using just S-video, all these would just appear to be a sea of black mush.
Nice link. He sounded confident enough, though, he keeps using the word "beta".
Thing is, even if it works perfectly, would everyone want it to work? If it becomes big, it's gonna effectively kill a lot of established industries out there; PC performance hardware manufacturers, Big hardware companies like Intel, AMD, Nvidia, ATI could all take a hit; Console manufacturers; Console peripherals makers; not to mention the packaged game dealers, game resellers, brick and mortar shops; I mean literally thousand of jobs will be made redundant and therefore eliminated.
I remembered the guy who several years back devised a way for vehicle engines to use water instead of gasoline. Nothing has been heard of him again.
If games and movies don't develop some mutual respect, all we can expect are films that are really bad action games and games that are really bad films, says Steven Poole.

Cloud could also mean vapor, or worse, hot air.
But without a console to communicate to, where will the wireless Sixxaxis controllers link to?
