I'm used to ask for coherence in a reviewer when analizing a game.
Today I feel like I get to ask coherence in gamers. Some of the comments are really hard with Uncharted 2 because it's too linear. Trying to figure what kind of games this people would like I can imagine GTA,Zelda,Super mario 64...and many more. That's O.K to me, no problem at all, but if you don't like any of those it means that you are not honest.
If you disliked Uncharted 2 because of linear, you got to love all the opposite: games showing the so called freedom.
Maybe you like horror movies and you dislike comedy and it can be understood, but you can always say: 'I don't like comedies but this one is a masterpiece even if I dislike comedy'.

I don't like fihting games, but Street fighter IV is a masterpiece, as simple as that. And then I give honest reasons analizing sound, visuals and all the stuff besides my personal tastes.

ZAKROCZ you disliked Uncharted 2 and you compare it with the visuals of killzone 2 and a few lines later you talk about Demon's souls. For Christsake, what has those two games in common to be compared with Uncharted 2?.It's like comparing The full metal jacket with toy story 2.It doesnt make any sense.Maybe you should know yourself better or one day you will find yourself buying a ticket to see a comedy, not an action film
Be honest and say it loud : "I don't like platformers, never will, and I prefer pure hardcore action games, but Uncharted 2 is a masterpiece."

Maybe my internet line doesn´t work too well, I can´t check where in the te rank are Metal gear solid 4,Wipeout, killzone2 and Mas Effect.

I bought space Giraffe, played for a while and erased it.It stinks, pure garbage.

    Be serious.

    To Prince Harry attention:

First of all, I`d like to apologise for grammatical mistakes that could be found in my writting. As your highness can imagine, English is not my mother tongue and I wanted to writte deeper toughts, but couldn't find the needed vocabulary.

Edge means pretended (and sometimes reached) quality and I underwritte wat u say about Edgeotism and share your opinions; they have created a monster and sometimes the food they choose to feed it is not healthy.

UK is the most important markt of European videogames.I don`t know how many quality magazines u can find there, but here Edge is the only one worthy to be bought (Spanish edition is a spanish translation from the original in a 90%), because the rest of the magaines are official or for teenagers.

I'm not alarmed, the point is that when the mainstream states something and my thinking is completely different, I defend and hardly change my point of view, but think it twice and tell to myself: "to be wrong is a possibility".That kind of perspective can't be found in the reviewer writting, it's a 'too proud of myself ' review.
If we would do the same to literature we could miss, even if they are not my type of book, a worthy best-seller like, for example, World War Z, and It's a mistake.Critics should be fair or at least try it.

I bought Street fighter 4 five days ago.I totally agree with you: its wonderfll on every aspect.
I sold Street fighter 4 yesterday, got the discount and bought killzone 2.
Why?.It's not about money.Playing this game without an arcade stick is suicide if you try on-line combats.I spent 3 days playing many rounds and I had to choose "legendary loser" a my phrase. It was frustrating trying to make the ost difficult movements and see how my character movement was compltely different.
TRUST ME: an arcade stick is totally required to play this, or you wll get frusrated.I'm not ready to pay for i, but if u do, this is amasterpiece.

I've no doubts that for a spanish video gamer reader who wants mature information about your magazine, your are the best choice to realize how everything involving this industry-art works.
Your criteria and quality articles are well known, but I've some doubts about a few points after reading Killzone's 2 review.

I'm not sure about your magazine's philosophy after reading this article.Major complain is about the plot and you are specially hard with dialogues:toomany clichés,but u recognise that technically the game is superb. So your final score is a 7.But can anyone answer me what's the plot on Little Big Planet is?(which I love, by the way), can u tell me where the plot and brilliant dialogues in Call of duty 4 are?.

I love those two games, and the two of them are a good example about inexistent plot and amazing gameplay and technical mastery.So...where is the coherence in Edge's philosophy?.The only possible answer is that ur philosophy is total freedom for ur writters...and the readers thinking could be then: 'I hope that the guy who gave a 7 to killzone2 doesnt writte this or that game review'.

We know that u care abouat innovation, that original games will reacha higher score than old formulas. But if u underscore a game because of his plot and dialogues, do the same with everygame. You've chosen a difficult path: you've become the hardest magazine on reviews but from the coherence and brave critical spirit to incoherence there is a small gap.

Keep the good job and good bye fom Spain.
