An interesting post Mark, thanks. Of all the games shown at E3, LBP is the one that excites me the most. I've long grown past the point where graphics / gimmicks entice me to purchase a game. Now I just go off "feel". Having never played this game, it probably sounds preposterous to talk about how it 'feels'. Even so, LBP is hitting a spot with me that nothing else currently comes near to. Fallout? Nah. Resistance? Nah. Killzone? Nope. GOW2? Nope. I am most looking forward to LBP, Pixel Junk Eden, Flower and Mirrors Edge.
I don't currently own a PS3 but I am excited by the direction and potential that the machine is starting to exhibit. LBP is a flagship title which is driving that process. You shouldn't be so humble Mark, making LBP part of the GDC keynote was a no brainer in my opinion! It's what the PS3 was crying out for.
Regardless of whether this is a game or a tool - I'm looking forward to playing it! Thanks Mark.
PS - In the light of the Spore creature-creator penis-fest, how many levels created in the first week of LBP's release will be penis-based I wonder? :P
Tomb Raider Underworld producer Eric Lindstrom talks about Lara Croft’s essential personality traits, and why they’ve helped her survive all these years.
