Yearly sales always get thrown off by the glut of new games releases at the end of each year. Many are now being pushed to late winter/early spring, which is becoming a mini-glut already. I'd prefer to see good titles released throughout the year, rather than bunching them up into a specific quarter to temporarily inflate sales figures.
It'd also give me more time to actually finish some of the AA titles I've been sitting on while trying to play everything :)
In addition to that, they need to revamp the store so that it's not so excruciatingly slow and doesn't require additional navigation to get to the game details. Some more & bigger screenshots and videos would help too. As it stands, I rarely visit the WiiWare store because of those factors and the utter lack of demos.
I meant the main storyline; I intentionally didn't finish because when I last played the Brotherhood of Steel DLC wasn't available, meaning the game ended when the main storyline was completed. I've held off on the DLC as well, because I figured the GOTY edition was inevitable. I'll be picking that up when it falls under $40 since I already spent too much on the LE when it was released.
My biggest time factor is due to not being able to play when my kids are around and because my wife has so much stuff to catch up on on the DVR. She's monopolizing the HDTV. I suppose I could always connect my 360 to my unused monitor upstairs ;)
I'd be curious to know if WiiHD is actually going to be HD, or just 480p again with a better graphics chip. If it's the latter, count me out. Nintendo's offerings all look particularly asstacular compared to everything else.
Lack of anticipation is definitely not an issue. Lack of time, followed by a lack of follow-through due to said lack of time, are my two biggest issues.
I'm currently sitting on unfinished games of Brutal Legend, Uncharted 2, and Borderlands. I may one day actually finish Fallout 3 (too many side quests :) and Bioshock too.
Oh, to be young and unencumbered by reality again . . .
