Well i guess there will be a lot of games with cheap and easy achievements just because that sells.
I'm aware that all this achievements systems are great and add a lot to the games (alternative goals and rewards). But it won't be long before it sucks because of commercial dessisions like this.
Hope gamers are smarter than "lets buy this game because in a day i can get a platinium trophy and lvl up my profile", and that the game actually beign good takes a priority.
Currently there's a group of gamers (over here, venezuela) trying to fight this law. It's not an easy job but at least there's has been reconigtion of our opinions and that the fist law project was put out recklessly.
We hope to achieve at least a regulation but not an "all out" ban. Of course we know we have the truth in our hands and that there's no proof that games influences human beings into being violent. We will have that advantage as long as all this doesn't get mixed up into the always present polical problems of the country.
Being from Venezuela (living in it) i can't disagree more on this ban. The Project clearly states that there are studies that support that games motivates children on being violent, wich is completely false. Also uses the world violence without any type reference or way to know what is violent or what is not. At this point even Mario games could be considered violent. Who's gonna call for that?
Nonetheless this so called Revolution doesn't take any type of criticism from anyone that oposses their ideas, even if they don't posses any basis at all.
I'm thinking what will happen with the WCG 2009 nationals now that almost every tournament game is considered violent.

Where is "here"? US?
Maybe he is right or not. He should elaborate with figures how is it bad for small devs.
