This links to a pretty interesting news article over a lawsuit between Intel and nVidia. nVidia is concerned that Intel posed a fake partnership, the motive being to steal nVidia's GPU secrets. Intel may use that knowledge to monopolize the 3D graphics market by eliminating the need for a 3D graphics card.

But, wouldn't a project like this be against Intel's best interests? OnLive is attempting to eliminate the need for a new CPU or motherboard at all, isn't it?

My concern about OnLive is how good will the resolution be on the MicroConsole? And will lag affect mouse aiming? Nothing sucks more than having a delay every time you aim with the mouse.

If that's the case, that makes this article all the more laughable since this article is about EA's very own proprietary project.

This links to another article about this same topic, but includes a specific quote by EA CEO, John Riccitiello:

"We're going to see an evolution of these things. I wish we didn't live in a world where we had to do these types of things. I want it to be seamless and easy - but I also don't want to have a bonfire of money."

It seems like EA plans to keep using SecuROM until they get it right, or go out of business. My question is how much of the EA budget is going to go into Quality Assurance?

This is Edge-Online's article about Left 4 Dead's 2.5 millionth copy sold. Left 4 Dead was released in 2008 and does not contain SecuROM.

"Dead Space is based on Resident Evil 4.. Fearlessly use standardized features.. Also, ensure you're using current systems because consumers will critique outdated control or camera schemes. "

Is this guy trying to tell us that in order to make a good game, we must fearlessly copy existing top selling games and then mix in elements from other top selling games to avoid being too obvious of a clone? And this is coming from a senior producer at Electronic Arts named "Chuck Beaver"??

I have even better advice: Listen to your customer feedback, because great companies thrive off customer feedback.

Anyways, on March 13th 2009, Resident Evil 5 was released. The real creators of Resident Evil have released a new version of their game, not a clone of their own previous game.

WoW messed up by deciding to milk the game for all the $ it's worth. That includes force-feeding players with repetitive content. Wrath of the Lich King was Activision's effort to get in on some of the WoW franchise money.

That is how WoW messed up. Blizzard's reputation.. well, Blizzard no longer has a reputation anymore because they are pwned by Activision now. BTW, Activision is the new evil empire, heir of the slain Electronic Arts. GG Securom (please google 'securom hall of shame' for more details).

I believe there are significantly less WoW players now in 2009, and that the current WoW community is nothing but 2nd generation fanboys. NOTHING but brand new fanboys who don't know squat about anything. The zombie anology is actually a lot more true than you think.
