Well it's good they're learning. Obviously WoW didn't 'mess up' nearly as badly as games like Age of Conan or Vanguard, but the difference in quality between the quests in the original game and the quests in the Wrath of the Lich King is immense. LK content is so much better and more fun (the heroin goes in smooooooth).
I'm glad they don't have their head completely in the sand just because they've won the market race so overwhelmingly. Anything can be improved. We have a bad word for people who are afraid to look at their game system of choice critically.
You know, Sony, those PS2 minutes could be spent on the PS3 if you hadn't REMOVED the back compat. It wouldn't surprise me if quite a few of those XBox 360 minutes were Halo 1 in addition to Halo 3.
I'm currently playing the fantastic Persona 4 on PS2 while my PS3 sits unused again because I'm tired of Little Big Planet. On the other hand, at least you make a profit when someone buys a PS2, so maybe this helps your present bottom line at the expense of long term adoption?
As noted, there was a demo... however it didn't really do a good job of selling anything but the graphics and combat mechanics. There could be a great plot and dialogue in the game, but if there is you'd never know it from the demo.
Personally, I skipped this because, yes, my pile of unplayed games is already so high. Based on the demo it's absolutely stylish, and fun, but for me not a must have to be going up against games like Gears of War 2, Fallout 3, Little Big Planet, and now Persona 4. The uniqueness of this game is almost entirely down to the beautiful graphics (the first person gimmick is just that), and that's just not enough when I've already played so damn many turn based SRPGs in my life.
I'm sure someone will now make a stupid crack about GoW2 and uniqueness, but the intensity is sufficient to sell it for me - it's no more 'just another FPS' than Uncharted was 'just Tomb Raider.'
I'm sure I'll end up playing VC later, when the lull hits.
If games and movies don't develop some mutual respect, all we can expect are films that are really bad action games and games that are really bad films, says Steven Poole.

> What the hell is the original Xbox still doing on this list?
Halo. There are many other decent games on the original Xbox, but Halo is the one with multiplayer staying power.
