Let’s not spiel on about new movements and ground-breaking changes, let’s just face it: cinema and game is merging. The greater these games, you don’t play: you’re sucked in. The opening tracking shot of The Dark Knight, the overhead sweep of Star Wars III these are just as comparable to the airlock doors hissing open as the Pillar of Autumn begins an emergency descent, the awe as Captain Price hauls you off your stupid soapy ass in that Estonian tanker or the pitiful defiance of Baker and his platoon.

i think games to movie conversions will have a tougher time nowadays, i mean games are getting more and more cinematic in their production and developers are creating a stricter dogma towards story. if youve got a game that pretty much runs like a movie, how do you go from there? stuart kinda has his work cut out for him with gears cos thats almost a very film-like game, with story and then there's the terrifying factor of: fans.
